# Sources that back $MFER

As stated, we can't have a single source of value that backs the Fuckery Protocol if we want to position ourselves for long-term success and sustainability.

The minting of our second signature [MX Bills](https://docs.oldmoney.io/mfer/sources-that-back-usdmfer/mx-bill-mint) series ensured a successful network transition and operation while providing capital to drive early adoption.

Since its inception, $MFER has had at least 10 [value-creation mechanisms to back it](https://docs.oldmoney.io/mfer/sources-that-back-usdmfer/current-sources). The Fuckery Protocol encourages the [creation of even more instruments](https://docs.oldmoney.io/mfer/sources-that-back-usdmfer/future-sources) to drive value over time. There are hundreds to potentially thousands of unique ways to mutually benefit by leveraging the network to create value.

There is a set of characteristics that the Fuckery Protocol owners look for when it comes to devices that can add value to back $MFER.

Every deployment of resources in the protocol should fall under one of these:

* Develops a source of revenue for the creators in $ADA in which they pay a portion to the Fuckery Protocol for utilizing the power of the network
* Create a source of revenue in $ADA directly for the Fuckery Protocol
* Institutes a means of exchange of the $MFER token that uses the Exchange smart-contract function
* Encourages more innovation, increases data/information/transparency, speeds up execution, strengthens the foundation, mitigates risks, upgrades the Fuckery Protocol
* Empowers stakeholders with the power of voice and control via Governance mechanisms and deployments of blockchain technology
* Designs an internal tool that can later be repurposed for any Cardano/NFT community as a product or service that provides revenue to the protocol

Builders can create under the Old Money branding, which gives them a unique set of existing users that can easily be tapped into. They can also use the Fuckery Protocol to fund their pursuits as long as there is a clear intention on how their success benefits the network.
